  • Trace Creek Section of the Ozark Trail

    This section of the Ozark Trail is approximately 24 miles long and is open to foot, mountain bike, and equestrian traffic. From Hazel Creek in the north, it runs south crossing hollows, ridgetops, small streams, and several highways, ending at Hwy. A. A printable Brochure is available.     No Fees.


    Restrictions:

    Camp at least 100 feet from the trail, treat all water used, bury human waste and pack out all trash.


    Directions:

    From St. Louis, take Hwy. 21 south to Hwy. 32, then west to Hwy A and south to the southern trailhead; or in Potosi turn west off Hwy. 21 onto Hwy. 8 and, then, south at the first stoplight onto Hwy. P south; at Hwy. C turn west to Hwy. Z, then north to the Hazel Creek campground trailhead.
